Specialized Ruby Elite. Went high enough in components so that the disc brakes would be hydraulic and not cable.

Cool. It seems to have suspension. That seems like fun.

What color did Lisa get. Red? Or "white squirrel white"?

It has a little spring+damper on top of the head-tube before the stem. That should help prevent Lisa's hands getting numb; I could see it working as we rode. The seat post has a bend to allow some flex and the seat bolt post is lowered to allow some swing. Those should make riding easier on the butt. The bike builders have at long last come to realize that not everyone is a 20-something-guy, that non 20-something-guys like to ride bikes too, and that non 20-something-guys have more money than the 20-something-guys. I still pretend I am 29.9 years old and all those little springing things would drive me nuts on a regular road bike.

Lisa doesn't typically like the usual girly colors they throw on women's bikes. Luckily they had the white squirrel white in her size in stock. Otherwise we would have ordered and waited. From now on when Lisa is heading out for a ride I will shout, "There goes the white squirrel!" She will like that.
