Reading a Zatopek biography....great title...'Today we die a little'. He obviously did too much track work but I need to do even more...if I can. I'm not too sure a 2 min quarter is doing me a lot of good so the 100s and 220's are what I need to concentrate on for a month or more...when it cools down I'll be ready to run quicker if everything goes well.
Sounds like a good plan, if your legs hold up.
Seems like there were two schools of training.
1-get fast first, then add distance
2-build endurance and then increase leg speed (Lydiard)
I'll have to read that book.
