Considering there were no bugs out, I'd say color didn't mater too much.

I've done some tests. There was no apparent difference between blue and grey duct tape. Except, of course, that the blue looks way cooler.

Cooler like this. Interestingly enough, one of these fellows has shed his beard and the other has grown one in the attempt to live down this incident.
