The only time in my life I ran more than 100k in a week included the weekend of the junior camp at Fryerstown. You may remember that one. My list of runs over that weekend looked like your list.
I have very few memories of training camps (although I must have been on them).
I remember a National Junior Camp that had us running at noon on New Years Day and having to stop in people's front yards for their garden taps (Canberra planning in those suburbs handily put taps in the same spot in everyone's yard).
I went into the camp with a degree of trepidation about coaching and dealing with teenagers, but they were pretty self sufficient and complained less about the weather than me.
I remember that and it was 40 degrees
At least noone got heatstroke in Ballarat at the weekend.
At least you weren't there today!
Wow, only 4 in the Rat today, Bendigo was warm in comparison, we got to 6
It felt cold enough in Melbourne today. I think I'm becoming too acclimatised.
I think some kids started showing signs of hypothermia at a camp in Orange a couple of years ago when it snowed.
Our juniors are more robust than NSW ones.
Just saw the Ballarat numbers. If it doesn't warm up by 9am (the cutoff for the 24-hour maximum) then it will be the lowest for a long time - at least 1994, and perhaps 1981 or 1977 depending on the decimals. (The 4.5 currently showing on the website won't count because it was before 9am yesterday, so it will be somewhere between 3.9 and 4.5).
Bendigo's 6.9, if it holds, will be the lowest since 1996.
