Yes, as never been to Riga.... already in my plans for next year, along with POM and no S6D!!

Me too. I have rubbernecked those forests on several journeys through Latvia and stayed in a hotel in the old town a few year's back. Chaffey's won't be going as they favour S6D.

And we will be racing each other again next year, so I will do some proper training!!

Do you have a hotel recommendation for Old Town Riga perchance? I will be driving through in mid to late August and will stop for one night in Riga....

Tommi. I stayed at a hotel on Kaleju Iela. Google labels it 'Rixwell Conventa Seta' but the name on the door was Viesnica. I liked it well enough. It was arranged for me so I can't comment on value. Mid-price, I guess. Free breakfast was plain but plentiful. The screenwriters were placed here (with a conference room out back) while the producers were at the swanky Albert in the new town.

Most of the AAOC crowd are talking about going again next year. Mike Brett is looking into accommodation.
I move up next year so avoid you two. Unfortunately i get Hakan Errikson instead....
