do you go from searing back pain to running in one day? I want to learn your secret!

Yesterday before the World Cup final started, I had 220 mg of naproxen (normal dose), and two extra strength Tylenol. I put a heating pad on my neck for about 20 minutes (herniated disc is between C3 and C4).

(...I may have had a breakfast beer at about the 20 minute mark...which I’m quite sure relaxed my shoulders a bit...)

At halftime, I just went for it. 20-25 minutes. It was quite humid out. It definitely loosened me up a bit. I tried to limit any upper body movement and keep my head still. Still painful - but once I got going the endorphins kicked in and it became bearable.

Had a terrible (painful) sleep though.
As for today, Hammer nailed it. It’s the bread.

Midnight comes and I have no choice but to get after it.

The bread is heavy, the job is physical...I’m moving fast all day. I guess adrenaline wins in the end.

I normally try to run right after work. My blood is flowing. I’ve had 9-12 hours to warm up. And that’s that.

It’s a little tight right now - but no pain.
