I had little energy for a Sunday bike ride, let along a trail race. Nice job!
no jet lag either? pretty amazing.
The jet lag actually worked in my favor. Getting up at 5am for a 730am race start was no problem since I was still on Europe time. Of course sitting in a pressurized tube of dry air for 9 hours probably isn’t optimal race prep. I went in with the mind set to just run the race without too much concern about time or place. In spite of my body really needing to rest, I wanted to run because this is a great race supporting a great cause (HCM Foundation - which provides monetary and other support to cancer patients and their families to help them make ends meet while they are battling the disease).
