Nice to see you here! Are you training for anything in particular? You're getting in some great workouts.

Yes, I remember Ang's training logs, stacked with a rainbow of activities. That girl piles on a bunch of training!

Hi!! I find the summary of hours super useful. Strava doesn’t have that:)
Getting back into racing a little bit. Doing a 24hr mountainbike race in 2 weeks and got an entry into The Bruce!

Awesome! It’ll be nice to “see” you around. :)

I’ve been putting some of my workouts on Strava because so many friends are there but I’m surprised at its poor functionality as a training log. It’s very good at segments, photos and kudos but not so good at managing and analyzing training data. Maybe that’s what the premium members get?

Strava is very good at analyzing data actually but you need to be a member to get those benefits.

Do members get more flexibility in defining their sport and multisport activities? As a non-member, I couldn’t find a way to upload an AR. I noticed other friends calling their AR a mountain bike ride.

JayXC:
You can upload it as a multi sport event but there is not alot gained from that really other than it’s a cool way to see where you went. You would need to know the number of disciplines ahead of time to know how many segments to set up and it would need to be shorter in duration than your devices battery life.
The real benefit is gained from HR data during workouts and the ability to track accumulated Training Stress.

JayXC- I just checked out you Hr and Power data in Strava. Did you set up your zones or is it just a Pareto?
Jul 19, 2018 2:13 AM #
JayXC:
Zones are set up automatically based on your FTP.

That is a good feature of Strava!

I’ve been wondering why JayXC logs in two places!

There is actually 4, Garmin Connect plays nicely with 3 of them so it's not that bad.

Some day I'd like to hear more about your rationale over beer - except it's clear you no longer have any time for beer! :)
