.. when riding? - just saw mention on ABC news of a WA cyclist getting fined for talking on a mobile while cycling.
No, I stop if I can be bothered.
I have told a few people off for talking on their phone when riding in a group. The mob we used to cycle with has a lady (know to her friends as Madam Lash) who runs it who would be pretty straight with anyone riding and phoning
Will look for the story
Just read the story:
maybe they need to fine pedestrians for talking on their phones and do not look where they are going on shared paths!
There was a girl in Orsnskolsvik who almost blindly followed another girl across the road whilst the follower was on her phone until she almost got taken out by a car and jumped back just in time. Went straight back onto her phone though. I almost wished she did get hit. Is that wrong?
Might have knocked some sense into her.
Yes it is wrong. Borderline crazy.
PS A friend of mine was charged with "careless riding" - no hands, went to court and lost.
Lost his hands? Harsh but understandable.
Good job the Gendarmerie don't take care of that could be a few TDF riders in the slammer!
Dodgy old men wearing gabardine macs
I've heard of NSW police booking riders for "careless riding" for doing track stands (no feet on the ground) at traffic lights.
