Did you do a warm-up and cooldown for this? There should be at least ten minutes of easy running before and after this to make sure you're properly prepared and that you can recover faster.

I did a 7 minute warm up and cool down.

Aim for ten minutes of warmup and ten of cooldown. That's at least how much you should be doing before races also.
