| kupackman: | ... of something that I'd like to do at work.
I sit in front of a computer at work between 40 and 50 hours a week. And I just sit here. I wish that my computer was hooked up to some sort of stationary bike generator or something. With this setup, I see several benefits: 1) I get in better shape. Good for me because I'd be healthier and feel better (and therefore, orienteer better :-). This is also good for the company because a healthier employee means reduced health care costs over my career. 2) It saves energy. Good for me because I feel green. Good for the company because they are saving money on energy, and they can cite me as an environmental benefit. It could also be good for me because maybe I'd get some sort of financial kickback for saving them money. ...ok, enough daydreaming. Gotta get back to the real work now... |

| TBorish: | That would be really cool actually. I guess I couldn't concentrate as well on the book I was reading as I would have it if was just sitting there, but if you could come up with a comfortable setup with the computer in easy reach, it wouldn't be a problem. Maybe you can invent something like that by the time I get out of college :-). |

| kupackman: | I'll work on that. Maybe. And if I don't you should get a job like Eric's if you want to avoid sitting at a computer all day long! |

Um, the sad truth about my job: It includes lots and lots of time sitting in front of the computer. |
