What does KP stand for again, Karta-??? And more importantly, a web link?

Have you acquired some lidar for a new KP map?

I don't have anything of anything yet. What I first need to do is get an inexpensive windows machine. I've done the dual boot thing on my Mac in the past and I just find that annoying. OOM runs on a mac and I was hoping that KP would too so that I could start learning and experimenting a bit.

I haven't read it, but this looks worth a look:

I run OOM on Windows and an Andriod tablet (actually a Kindle Fire). I'm not completely sold on carrying a tablet in the field, but it has some advantages.

I looked again for free LIDAR that might be of use to me/NTOA and was unsuccessful. Kind of kills the motivation to dig in when it is going to be an purely theoretical exercise.

It's like someone said, "Hey, where do you think the orienteering folks would like to navigate? Let's not get data there." Or this: "See all those parks near Tom Carr, definitely don't get any data for that place. Anywhere within 30min of 615 Monte Vista Dr. eliminate it." I'll keep looking though.
