Discussion: Bar Harbor

For some inexplicable reason I have always wanted to go to Bar Harbor. I guess it just sounds cool. Is it worth it?

Assuming things like flying over for the Highlander are worth it, then this should also be on your list. Obviously the main attraction is Acadia.

And it would probably take you less time to get here than it took us...

Of course flying over for the Highlander is worth it.

There don’t seem to be any Halifax-Bar Harbor flights so the only connection is via Boston, around 10 hours. Can you beat that?

We drove, it was about 14 hours.

At least it gave you some solid “relationship time”!

I totally think Bar Harbor is worth visiting. And of course Acadia. Running or biking on the carriage roads is really enjoyable, and the rest of the place is great too.

Absolutely beautiful trail running. So many different ecosystems all next to each other.

I think I liked Champlain Mtn and beehive.
