That sounds like fun. It also sounds like something that has a much higher probability of happening in the US than in Norway.
I'm of two minds here. It seems like if Kobach wins there's a much better chance of the Democrat wins. But there's also the chance that he wins both, and that would be pretty bad (though Brownback was pretty awful tpp... geez, Kansas ...).
So I'm not sure how I want the results to end up.
In Missouri we have a proud tradition putting Dems in office by nominating un-electable Republicans. McCaskill is the undisputed master of this trick. However, I think if I lived in Kansas, I'd vote in the Republican primary and try to get the most moderate candidate nominated because it seems pretty clear that's who gets elected.
I'm not a fan of Colyer's politics, but I don't think he's a bad person. I think Kobach is. Laura Kelly is the Democratic nominee. She came to our performance audit class at KU, so I like her for that alone.
Also, I wish the title of this discussion wasn't "Kobach." Everytime someone posts I get a text message that says "Kobach." I'd prefer a nicer message when my phone and/or watch buzz.
I wonder if Cristina can edit the title? Something more pleasant for a short text message.
Perfect! My watched buzzed and it wasn't "Kobach"!!! Thanks.
I should add another note...Kobach was recently navigating with one of our orienteering maps. The Sunflower Games adventure race last month used our Woodridge map for a bit of their "trekking." Kobach is an occasional adventure race competitor.
Eric, exactly what I did, registered Republican and voted for Coyler. But if Kobach gets the nod, we may get some Coyler fans to switch. I'll get lost in the woods to forget about it...
