34k that is. Looking over your recent training numbers ...you in decent shape, boy. Take that orienteering-know-how and dance those rocks (o-shoes recommended) to a Top 5 finish! Treat it like racing at the lead of a Raid, but with no need to navigate.
I'd join you, but I melt in heat and it would be a pure suffer fest for me after the first loop.
I appreciate your confidence man.
I feel fit enough, but I’m quite aware that my training lacks rocky, rooted single track and any hills of significance.
Instead of Crothers Woods, Sunnybrook and trails within High Park, I tend to take the breezy routes like the Martin Goodman Expressway and other flat and fast ashphalt/pavement around the city.
Going to suffer through the 34 though. Ankles and Achilles’ are not going to be happy.
I’ve been taunting my younger brother to run. 1st annual ITT (Innes Trail Test)...want to kick his ass in his own backyard. ;)
So you think O shoes, eh?
Taking both shoes for tomorrow and will a short stretch of the blue side trail during the warm up to evaluate. Given the humidity and the expectant rain this aft ...I'm leaning towards O shoes.
