Discussion: Sandy Heys?

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the path you are referring to here? The one up William Clough?
Asking for a friend.

There is a footpath starting at the footbridge at the bottom of William Clough which goes up the broad spur heading roughly ENE. The spur becomes more pronounced as it nears the plateau. It used to be just a trod 20 years ago but now it is quite eroded in places. It is marked on the latest OS 1:25k map.
