I can see why some of our orienteers like their extended European orienteering holidays. Wish I could do it every year - not sure if Tash would. Next year will probably be just the two weeks though if circumstances permit (I'll make them permit).
7 weeks is a bit long. Around 6 weeks I was missing work. So 6 weeks is a decent length of time :)
At least my strike rate for finishing courses for the year has improved. After the Vic trial(s) it was sitting at 0% although that improved to 57% after NZ and Qld. Now it is at 90%.
Watching the videos from WMTBOC it seems the top riders are getting coaching in their interviews. They all say the same line 'I didn't expect to win/to get on the podium'. Maybe my next WOC they can interview me and I'll say 'I didn't expect to ever make the top 50'.
