Hips suck when they hurt. Mine too lately.
The stretching hip flexors a lot should help.
The good news is it seems to be muscular, not a bone thing like arthritis or a stress fracture.
I'm not sure if it was the needling yesterday, the exercises the PT showed me, the fact that I didn't run today, or the fact that I didn't sit much today (I was clearing out my office cubicle to be full-time W@H-- yay!), but the increasingly bad pain I've had for several weeks was 90% gone today. I'll see how I feel after a run tomorrow, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
