I just pulled a set of Shimano drop bar 9 speed shifters, derailleurs, and mechanical disk brakes off my 2014 CX bike. You are welcome to have the set (and a couple 9 speed cassettes) for free for your project if you like :) Email me if you want additional details or coordinate a drop-off of said materials.
