Just a note to say how nice it is that in your log, you always get the spelling right on those two words - one of my silly pet peeves!

Sounds like another fun trip. :)

Thanks. Before I even opened this comment, I knew it would be from you :)
I say that as a good thing: I know how diligent you are about proper spelling and punctuation. I appreciate that. I value it too, and often think to myself "Bash will appreciate that I wrote this correctly". You write beautifully and it shows that you put the time and effort into getting it right.
Social media posts often drive me crazy, having to read things a few times and then fill in the invisible pauses, missing punctuation and missing words (especially pronouns), (or spelling corrections, especially for homonyms) in order to interpret the post as it was intended. I should ask Hermes if she has any spare red pens I can use...
(now watch me have a big oops in my next post ;) )

Yes, it was a great trip! The Squamish trails are so great, the gang of friends is great, and it was exciting to discover the new Lord of the Squirrels trail (definitely on the "ride again" list).

I think that trail is worth riding for the name alone!

Agreed, many social media posts and texts are brain teasers where we have to fill in blanks or reverse engineer autocorrections. It gets annoying when it happens regularly since it gives the impression that the person doesn't care about wasting his/her friends' time. The rode/road error is easy to figure out, fortunately; it's just jarring.

We all slip up occasionally and I'm always learning new things about grammar and word usage so my writing is far from perfect. Thanks for your kind words and keep up the good work yourself. :)
