KU clocked in at #11. Some might be discouraged that they didn't rank higher after a loss to a FCS school at home, but veteran fans will know the season is long and this game was but a single step, and a step in the right direction, with many more steps to go. Patience will be rewarded and it is too early to lose hope.

Central Michigan will probably be up 20-30 points before they realize what is happening, and by then, it will be too late. It is almost impossible to disgorge a lead like that against a quality opponent like Kansas.

I don't think KU football gets the disrespect they should. An overtime loss at home to a weak opponent seems especially bad. I think they've earned a bottom 10 ranking.

The Central Michigan game is a chance for KU football to extend the road-game losing streak to 47 games. KU holds the current NCAA record at 46 games. The last time KU football won a road game was September 12, 2009.

Oops, too bad they broke their losing streak.
Kind of funny that the football team is as bad as the basketball team is good. I, for one, am fine with that.
