| orienteeringmom: | If anyone has a nice and easy recipe of a veggie chili that they would like to share with me I would greatly appreciate it. I found one but I'm not sure that a true vegetarian would like it.
You can send the recipe to me directly at djporter2@verizon.net Thanks Janet |

| bbrooke: | Super easy:
Even my non-veggie boyfriend likes it... The ad says it's "fiery", but I don't think it's spicy-hot at all. It has a good chili flavor and a good faux-ground-beef texture. We usually get four hearty servings out of one box of mix. |

| bbrooke: | Janet's plan was to have chicken noodle soup for the meat-eaters. |

| mikeminium: | Hmmm, my "kitchen sink chili" is always an experiment, containing everything but its namesake. I usually start, more-or-less with the recipe on the side of a can of Joan-of-Arc brand chili beans, which calls for ground beef, but for a veggie only version, I toss in several large baking potatos cut in 1 inch cubes, and some chopped carrots. I also add several cans of picante-style V-8 juice and several cans of beer... never a drop of plain water. Of course, I get my chili powder from Santa Cruz Chili Company in Arizona, and anything that's in season (tomatos, peppers, carrots) from my own garden. I usually make a batch for OCIN's New Year's Eve Midnight orienteering meet... sometimes meaty, sometimes without...
Not sure if this helps much, though... |
