Hey All,
One of my goals in 2019 is to have more level 1 coaching courses in the US. If your interested in having a level 1 coaching course in your area message me. Be cool if we could get four on the calendar in 2019 in different areas around the country.

What all does the level 1 coaching course consist of? I can think of a group or two that I may bring it up to but I am not sure what the current requirements are.

Right now its a two day course roughly 9-5 sat and sun. Needs to take place close to a map. Half the course is spent out in the field going through skills, physical training, and practical test. The other half is int he classroom going through technical training physical training, individual development, and program development concepts and info.

Looks good (from afar!). Ours is basically a 1 day face-to-face course with "assignments" encompassing some of the topics you outline above, followed by tasks to complete under supervision and submitted for assessment. There is also a Sport Australia on-line 4.5 hour Coaching Basic Principles course + Working with Children (police) Check. Accreditation lasts maybe 4 years and is rejuvenated by practicing throughout that time (points = hours spent in a variety of coaching related activities)
