are you doing day of the dead 5k?
Cool! Snag me an extra small youth shirt if you can. And of course a skull!
I’ll ask about the shirts, but it’s a pretty controlled race. I’m not sure they will have extra shirts but maybe after the race I’ll try to snag one. I have your skull!!
I know you hosting a meet Saturday, that’s cool!!
I know you might of come up. Next year put it on your calendar.
Clark’s in the north suburbs doing a 5K instead of a city race. Go figure.
last year there were no males over 55??? yet its a big race. only for the young of heart I guess, go get em!
I LIVE in the City; I like to race in the leafy streets of the suburbs...and Lake Bluff in October is as peaceful, colorful, and pleasant as one could wish. Taking the train up there and back. So a low-carbon event.
On the same morning, Soupbone's driving 70 miles to run 3.1, when this race is only ten miles from his house. Go figure.
You could notch a first place skull, Chi. and its only 3 miles from your house but a different kind of neighborhood and an interesting course, and you probably never go running there, how often are the Chicago streets cleared for runners? Go figure.
This is the last race of the Chicago Area 2018 competitive Circuit. I'm neck-and-neck with my old O buddy Joe Sehnal in the Circuit. Hope Joe doesn't show up for this race, and I'll have a good chance to move into 4th Place!
4th, no podium there. Don’t bother :-)
Chi I’m hoping to hang out long enough to do lunch and brews with you after your suburban vacation from the city.
Great! Where are you going to be? I'll be coming into Ogilvie depot at 11:30am. Why don't we meet there and grab a beer and lunch in the Loop area?
And BTW, nice comment about 'Blue Moon Express.' That WAS a classic...and a nice memory of the kind of woman she was...
The Blue Moon Express will live in its infamy forever.
Ill call you after our races and pick you up at 11:30
