Interestingly I'll be spending the entirety of Dec, Jan and Feb in the northern hemisphere but not far enough north to actually consider it "winter".
Afghanistan gets pretty cold in the winter even if it isn't that far north.
That's much further north than where I'm going and Afghanistan is on a latitude of ~34 N whereas Perth is 31 S so I'd expect it to be comparable to here! My destination is in the single digits.
So we're invading Venezuela?
