I suspect it is an over-use injury, too much, too soon and the muscle eventually gave up. Get the rehab right, and come back slowly into the orienteering - remember the forests will still be there in a months time ;-)

Thanks for advice Jon. I agree. It’s feeling much better now been for a couple of runs recently with no issues. Lots of strengthening and stretching. Will come back easy this week.
