Alex is somehow really really good at killing bearings in the speed reducers. When the bearings lock up instead of rolling on the wheel it pulls the bracket upwards. Those bearings are the most exposed to water spray, so they do take a lot of abuse. I probably just need to swap them on her skis again.
Is it possible to buy Niflheim skis without the speed reducers?
You're DONE with classic rollerskiing? but you only just started!
Indeed!
But … next Saturday is skate. Then Thanksgiving. Then Colorado. Then Mount Hood. Then I better be on real goddamn snow.
Maybe something on a weekday? But I need to figure out new poles and skis for striding. (I also really should buy new classic poles to play along with regulations, although none of the races I stride abide by said regulations.)
