Discussion: Osceola opened Sunday

well, sort of. Hugh groomed a loop in the grassy field and had a total of 2 skiers show up. Natural snow. More in the forecast through the week, so maybe worth a trip by next weekend.

Excellent. We've got storms slated to come thru here all week, so we might be in business, too.

I noted during my dog walk this morning that had I really really wanted to I could have skied on the trails behind my house today. Some snow that fell on Friday is now crusty enough that it would have been doable on waxless skis, just. Too many fresh leaves on top for anything else.

We're not even close to that yet. Nothing on the ground. Pond has ice on it, though @ 18F this morning.
