Sigh. I heard an interview tonight with a physician involved in an international report on climate change implications for health - deaths from heat waves, malaria, air pollution (indirectly connected), etc. We're paying for that at the same time as we're paying the polluters. This is the economically conservative party?
We have those CPR masks and this is a good reminder to find where I tucked mine away. It used to be in my purse all the time but I think it's still in an older purse. 'Bent bought one for his dental office but the one time he had to do CPR for real, it was a runner who collapsed in our driveway in Schomberg, and he had no mask.
If I carried a purse, I would probably keep it there. I might keep one in a bike bag and one in the car kit. I have a simple kit in each car and a better one that I will upgrade for the car we take on trips (currently in my car).
I feel like on the bike trail is the most likely place I would have a need for it.
I have a mask in my car but maybe should get a compact one for my bike bag.
As for Dougie’s climate “plan”, he sure is showing leadership by cancelling energy efficiency programs and not supporting renewable energy or clean transportation.
If he was really the best beer buddy of the working man, he’d be fighting like hell to build Chevy Bolts and Volts in Oshawa, and setting up big incentive to buy made-in-Ontario clean tech, instead of whining about the demise of the plant that built the doomed Impala sedan and trucks.
