Was clearing with the nice sun - I'll find out today (Wed) whether water from the melt evaporated or ended up freezing up. .... the leaf stems still out in one short span, but should be manageable for skis - did not see much in way of bigger / tripper items.

Wednesday - ran on south side of canal (going west towards MCC), however, the path on the north side seemed to be clear (as viewed from afar)

Thanks for the updates! Sadly haven't managed to find time to take advantage... The tree debris is not ideal but the biggest problem with it is that it can be slippery, especially if wet. In general, bigger obstacles like branches aren't as bad as low friction surfaces like ice and wet leaves, at least as long as you can around around sticks and such. When your ski suddenly slides sideways as you try to push off it, though...
