Don't imagine this is some kind of "good" injury, Sasha.
If the nerves aren't working properly then the muscle isn't working properly, if the muscle isn't working properly then it will get weak, that ends up with you running with an imbalance and who knows where that will lead.
Get a proper physiological assessment on the back and then follow rehab routine well. Should solve the problem.

Kitch - I wouldn't say good, but to keep things positive I'd think relative to a muscular tear it's better! Not sure I can even use the word injury when I'm running just about my regular hours anyway
