We went up to Adelong Falls yesterday hoping to escape the heat, but it was just as hot as Wagga. Great little spot thou

Hey Briohny! Yes it was a lovely spot, lots to explore but definitely need a cooler day for it. We just had a dip and left to get out of the heat :/ So good to see you are back running again and all is going well so far!

Going to the mountains to escape the heat only works if you're going somewhere at a significantly higher elevation than where you started. Mountain valleys can be as hot as the plains - Corryong's average summer maximum temperatures are only about a degree lower than Mildura's (and higher than the Wimmera's), and it has about the same number of days over 30 in January and February.

Yes, we got a small bit of relief when we headed up to Yarrangobilly Caves on one of the days and it was only about 30 there when we left at midday, and 40 degrees back down in the valley a bit later.
