That's a lot of green. I'm assuming it was pretty bad to get through it, but how bad? The one route posted for your course has them taking very long, and seemingly out of the way, trail routes in some places.

Ft. Ebey is very green. Were they allowing off-trail? My dad was telling me how a few weeks ago the park almost told Cascade they couldn't have the event...

The green here reduces your speed by 50-80%, depending on how steep it is. It's usually thick bushes and lots of logs.
I thought they weren't allowing of-trail because the meet director mentioned those problems with the park beforehand, but then I saw control 8, so after that I went off-trail.
