I just checked the climb on my most recent "run". 980 meters in 13km (out and back). I think 800 of that was in the first 3km. I suggest you avoid Patagonia for the moment.

Very sad hearing about the Tassie fires. Certainly not an issue where we are at the moment. Looks like the temperature won't crack double figures today.

Which is quite a contrast because it's been very hot further north in Chile (Santiago had its hottest day on record on Saturday).

I suspect there are routes from here where you could climb 800m in the first 3km, but I'll be leaving those alone for now.

Thinking I might give it a try tomorrow, although I'd want to be feeling better than today.

Patagonia played host to one of my best runs of the 2010s, though on the Argentine rather than Chilean side.
