Cherish those bedtime routines. All too soon they won't want to do them. (Years from now, probably. But still, it goes by way too fast.)
Bedtime routines are great and important. We used to read for our kids for them to fall asleep well into their school years (or at least until they discovered the mystery of reading on their own). The falling asleep part wasn't always successful - unless you consider a sleeping parent a success ;)
Some of the most popular stories were so worn out that I learned them by heart enough to read while we were camping even without book and reading light...
