Just an FYI...the hill should be about an 8 percent grade, probably no more than 10 percent, and take between 30 and 40 seconds to run up....
Too steep and you are not engaging the proper leg muscles, too flat and you are not getting sufficient load, too long and you will go anerobic...you want to able to do lots of these in a session.....about five percent of your weekly running mileage.
