I received a similar message after jogging for 8 minutes to the start of an orienteering race once. I didn´t obey though and felt OK afterwards despite that ;)
Good! :) The watch and I often disagree about recovery.
Seems that the Ambit algorithm is a bit messed up. It clearly should have told you to do recovery for 72 hours, not 46 hours! Then, had you not ignored the instructions, you wouldn't have sprained your ankle on Sunday. The technology means well, but apparently these guys still need to do a little fine tuning on their parameters. Probably looked at your training history and assumed you were a 30-year old, not a geriatric needing to exercise some real caution as well as your body!
In my case we can´t blame the Ambit algorithm though since I have a Garmin.
Could it be that all calculations were inverted somehow since I was in the Southern Hemisphere (NZE)?
