Can't run on the treadmill. I resort to it when I have no other option but it is extremely difficult and I have to distract myself.
I totally understand your pain. You don't think I run on there without major distractions surely?!?! I started because it's very convenient and easier on the knee. Niels told me he did his Intervals on the treadmill and it seems a tad more precise than going outside. I've also noticed my leg turnover improve. It's a bit like getting off a bike in a triathlon transition. But, anyway, longer, steady runs will still be done in the real world.
You running tomorrow?
I'll be there tomorrow. Not competitive as I looked and helped with the map.
Speaking of who is running where, are either of you considering coming to the far north to run NTOA's DilloGoat at LBJ Grasslands on 3/16? My enthusiasm is entirely dependent on there being some guys to run with/against. Without that I'm probably going to skip and go do a cycling event out in Tyler. I'm not at all trying to arm twist, because I'm happy to do either -- just checking to see what you are thinking.
I wanted to get revenge for last year, but I've thought about it and can't justify the drive. Last year I came up from Austin and drove the 5 hours back seething at my own stupidity. This year I'm coming back from Telluride the day before so I cant do it, as much as I'd like to. Would've been good for Masters the week after. You going to that Tom?
Yes, we haven't made travel plans yet but I believe we are going to OCIN's masters. I should do that this weekend, ie, make reservations and whatnot.
BTW, I don't think I would make that drive either. IMO, the course isn't long enough and the terrain not nice enough for a 5 hour drive.
It's further from Houston. No idea how far.
Too far for me so instead I'm doing a trail race
