Running is so risky! :)

One of my friends tore his Achilles in a really hard Crossfit workout and had to have surgery - but there are lots of great running injury stories too.

Just wait till the doors are open and there is running in the workouts. So many whiners.
Suddenly half the class cant run cause of 'bad knees'. Didnt seem to be an issue when you were squatting 300lbs.

Oh Bash, was it from doing box jumps? They are the one thing i refuse to do quickly. Alchemy is pretty good at making sure people dont hurt themselves, but ive heard of less responsible boxes encouraging people to 'rebound' which is asking for exploding achilles

It was a few years ago and I can't remember if he told us exactly how he did it. Sounds like a good bet for Achilles rupture - a dynamic movement with high force.

I'm Crossfit-curious but not every place is as careful as Alchemy, unfortunately. Also, Crossfit isn't a great fit for people who live in the boonies. I'll just keep stealing ideas from all your workouts. :)
