He said he was looking at your map through the camper fly mesh and that "Tash and her friend are going all the way to the top of the map, that's a long way Dad, isn't it?".
I said (I'm afraid) "It is Edmund, but there's a high chance that they won't do their full loop as it will be dark and the navigation won't be straightforward."

Later in the year we may do another rogaine, but will pay closer attention to the terrain so it's more pleasant traversing the terrain and he can do more of the navigation, he enjoyed the daylight a lot more where he could pick out spurs and ridges and gullys and simple contour features. Night + parrot bush was only counterbalanced by me pretending to be cheerful and enjoying it all the way!!
