And great writeup; I had visions of you lugging around two entire fresh pineapples :)
But one thing I don't understand - it's not a rogaine unless you're part of a team, is it?
No - just sliced pineapple... THE best thing to eat (my choice) apart from grapes, which I also took. I have a very nifty dual section container which can cope with liquid and has a built in fork... I am a sucker for new containers. It worked really well.
There is just one event each year - very much a CATI - which is very user friendly, is just 3 hours and permits individual entries. What did surprise me was that this one permitted dogs!!! but all I saw were very well behaved (much better than parkrun dogs) and owners were very responsible. The family category was won by a father and son - and the son was about 11 and was really pushing his dad!
Thanks - but my 3 hour effort is very miniscule cf your epics!
Zara with Callum the kelpie would definitely count as a legitimate team!
(me with Meatloaf, well I'd end up carrying an elderly corgi after about 1km)
I must admit I hadn't realised Meatloaf was a corgi... makes it all the more adorable now. Our quasi pet (next door's but in our place) was a corgi. Lovely nature!
Well, he's at least half corgi...the other half is some or all of heeler/collie/kelpie/wombat.
(If you ever want to look up Geoff Jurd's Fb profile, the dog is wearing my shorts!)
well worth the effort in convincing tt that the drive from Drummoyne wasn't going to be a problem (she wasn't going to enter just before the closing date!) and I enjoyed the pear, rhubarb and pistachio croissants too (note plural)
jennycass - just looked at Meatloaf - yep name befitting!
Legend has it that his For Sale notice in the paper just said "Dog, bought for $160, will sell for $80".
