A whole lot of pruning going on today. Nothing big at our house yet, but a large hemlock came down on the little side street maybe 300 yards from here. Managed to miss the two nearby houses. Would have done some serious damage.

Had to go to Whole Foods. Getting back to the car, well, I saw where the car was, the wind was across, I had to figure out where to aim for. Really felt like I might go airborne if a (not much) bigger gust came along.

Would not have wanted to be driving a RV.

We lost power at work around 2 PM. About an hour later, I joined the exodus of people hoping there would be power at home (there was in my case). Plenty of stuff down on the roads, and yeah, I was also thinking that a VW bus would not be my vehicle of choice today. My questionable anemometer seems to have recorded an all time high today (it always seems to read very low, but it got up to 25 mph).

Power just restored here after 2 hours. Have at least one tree down in back. Not going out to look for more till wind drops at lot.
