Struggling with choosing between the 100 km or the 100 mile. I expect to be better prepared this year, but last year when I did the miles, I was so choked when I hit the point where the courses split... I would have been soooo happy to have 12(?) miles left instead of 52!!!!
I think it will (partially) depend on if I'm camping at the finish. 100 miles + a couple beers makes for an ill-advised drive to the hotel. …. If I camp I could have 3 and walk to my tent :-)
The other two tensors are planning to race it and they will both do the KM

Tough call! I guess it depends if you're training for an exped race or looking for a fun, active weekend with friends. As you know, it's easier to get the best of both worlds if you do the 100 km. We're not going back this year. We really enjoyed it but after two years in a row, it's time to try something different.

I sure was glad to only be doing the 100k, struggling on a broken axle as it turned out. You didn’t seem to have too much trouble on the 100 miles though.

I was pretty spent by the end. I thought it was a great course/event and wanted to return but I told myself next time I'd do the 100km.... of course the misery part fades faster than the good memories … AR brain :-)
