I see you crossed it both going into 6 and leaving for 7. As I planned my routes on your map (without looking at your routes), I avoided it in both directions. Is it crossable all year, or only now because there's no vegetation?

Mapped as crossable. Some vegetation, so a bit slow. Plenty wet, but mostly frozen right now and I could hop over any unfrozen spots. I thought about going right of it on the way to 6, but it seemed I would have to cross it on the way to 7, so I figured I’d just check it out right away, and save the up and down along the ridge by sticking to the trail.

Guess I'm still not used to the idea of crossing even crossable marshes, especially after Estonia.

In winter they can make sweet route choices.

Those Estonian marshes are legendary..especially around to old Soviet training camp at Otepää! Week-long EST5-'96. Rain, cold, nothing dry anywhere! Hands and feet like prunes. But delicious and hearty hot borscht served up in washable stainless bowls in the Finish area. Yum!
