ya know, you do have a pattern of hamstring troubles...maybe have a pt figure out why, and what you can do to head it off?
yup, good idea . . . they would likely say "strengthen and stretching", that's what they said with the calf . . . also PTs like to talk about scar tissue and realigning scare tissue. one said it takes 6 months . . . not so sure about that
when I go to aimee, one session works wonders, finds those little tangles in the tissue and untangles them... also, she has a running background and could tell you exactly what is happening. but generally, strengthen and stretch does go a long way. though often its not 'strengthen and stretch' what you think, like the hamstrings, but some other part of your mechanics that is throwing them out of whack.
Scott at SMTC mantra is . . . "it all starts at the hips" . . . I think it was just too short recovery from the Friday strength workout, probably would have been OK on Sunday. And I'm probably due for a rest week, been hitting strength workouts pretty hard; really should build in a rest week every 4th week. or else my body enforces a rest week.
but what does 'it all starts at the hips' mean?
