Discussion: That’s the reason

...we did our skate skiing at Scenic Caves this year. The first few climbs at Highlands can be soul crushing on skate skis when you’re not warmed up. Sorry we missed you - what an incredible day!

Yeah, this too shall pass. I just crippled myself on the chedoke stairs. The only answer is to go back.

Did you at least ski the downhill portions well?

Considering I’ve only skied once in five years? at highlands I think I skied the downhills well. Aggressive and didn’t fall but maybe having limited glide there was useful.

There are a couple of awesome downhills at highlands. as good as the old horseshoe valley trails.
