You are stimulating my interest by invoking my younger self. I’d like to try some consistent rowing, but the elbow hasn’t been ready. Maybe it will be when I return from Italy in a week.

Thanks Charlie! You stimulated my rowing interest a long time ago, for which I'm very grateful each winter. Like my custom-made road bike, my Concept II rowing machine is one of the best investments I've ever made. And from here on out, its probably going to get a lot more use than the bike.

Sorry about the chronic arm problems. With my daily rowing sessions, my arms and shoulders are continually sore...as my declining pace indicates. But I can still row without pain once I warm up. I guess the same is not true for you? That elbow pain doesn't diminish with a easy warm-up?

Well I guess you're in Sicily now. What a trip! I was doing some historical research about Malta...sounds like an interesting place to visit. But your log was uncharacteristically silent about the cuisine, accommodations and sightseeing, so maybe Malta didn't live up to your expectations? Hope Sicily is as rewarding as your last visit there. And BTW, congrats on some nice runs...certainly holding your own against those speedy M70+ Europeans!
