The Perth design of on-road bike lanes where they stop 20m from a set of lights, like on Curtin Ave, is particularly annoying. Will be good when the new path is done.
Funny, I was going to put up a thread about bike paths then decided we'd never get one all the way along the Armadale line (not enough financially motivated voters out this way) and gave up in disgust before I'd even started.
If you think having bike lanes stopping before traffic lights is bad, you should try riding along the broken sections of bike path we do have along the railway and where a road crossing occurs, trying to guess if the traffic lights some council boffin decided was a good idea to regulate cars through the level crossing are red, green or about to change between the two and at which you have no way of knowing if cars are about to go through them or not. There is no indication to path users whatsoever.
