I bought some fruit free ones at Woolies a week ago for someone I thought didn't like fruity ones and ended up tossing them out - they weren't food; they were crap.

These ones would have been better named sultana brioche rolls with crosses. No spices at all and cruddy brioche :( Almost ruined my weekend. And from the farmers market, too!

I am not a fan of any sort of hot cross bun - but proper yeasty fruit buns with the sugar crystals on top are amazing :)

I'm surprised I haven't yet seen reports of far-right Facebook pages spreading false rumours of (insert name of supermarket here) replacing hot cross buns with hot crescent buns in the name of political correctness.
