Discussion: Quantico Classic - today is the procrastinators' deadline

No strong reason to delay the closing of registration having been brought to my attention, any procrastinators out there have the rest of today to sign up via Event Register. Granted, the Marines cleared the first list of registered participants in record time, so logistically we conceivably could accommodate a few people who miss this deadline. I'd just want to hear a story involving being on the receiving end of a hostage situation or a coma or the like - a protracted ER visit at the least - before I put the registrar to the trouble.

P.S. We should finally have detailed information about the relay on the afternoon of Saturday the 13th, including how to register your team in advance (please, do it in advance), later today.

Thanks to all of you who registered before the deadline. Now please don't forget, if you're 18 or over, to submit your SSN (passport number for non-US persons) ASAP via the encrypted web form on the event web site so the Marines can run you through their security screening process. In practice, the Marines are actually pretty relaxed about people coming to see their crucial to national security trees, spurs, reentrants, etc. but you could, in theory, be denied access to the competition terrain if you don't go through the participant screening they require as a condition of our permit for the event.
